Site Review: Next Job At Home

We’ve been monitoring the site Next Job At Home (www.nextjobathome.net) for quite some time now, and have found mixed results.  While it does have some good resources for finding legitimate home based jobs, one needs to be as diligent as ever at sorting through the ads, business opportunities and other money-making schemes to find the actual home jobs.

Some Real Jobs

We have found many jobs on the site that we know to be legitimate, open positions.  However, many of these are posted over and over on lots of other sites (including many of ours) so they aren’t exactly listings that are difficult to find.  Their site accepts submissions from employers, and they claim to review jobs for legitimacy prior to posting.

Not Very Fresh

One problem we have with the site is they post the same jobs over and over.  As mentioned above, many of these are jobs that are posted on just about every home-job site out there.  For a serious home-job-seeker, visiting this site daily looking for jobs can get frustrating.

The Jobs Listed Are Often Very Specific

A lot of the jobs listed are for people with very specific skill sets, such as transcription or financial services.  Although these can be legitimate jobs, for the most part our experience is the people looking for such work already know where to find it.  For the average person searching for work at home, it can become very tedious to sort through all these jobs to find the few customer service, virtual assistant, call center etc. positions available.

Lots Of Other Biz-Opps

There are also lots of other “work at home” websites listed, many of them mixed in with the actual job results.  This is understandable, as the service itself is free to use, so they pay the bills with advertisements.  However, be extra careful of each link, and don’t assume something is an actual job just because it was included with the job listings.

Summary

In summary, Next Job At Home may be worthwhile for a serious home-job seeker to visit once or twice per week.  Make sure to do your due diligence on any listing you are interested in.  You may even find your next home-based job there!
